The Root Mantra: Soo Kray, Sah Mah Yah Tay
This movement draws the earth energy (yin) up through your legs to about your solar plexus and then branches out in a circle like the branches of a tree to capture any negative energy in the body and transport it, with the motion of the hands, back down into the earth. There the negative energy is absorbed by the earth and dissipated in her vastness.
Begin with your arms straight above your head. Slowly bend at the waist, sweeping your arms down straight in front equal with the bending of the torso, until you hands touch the floor (or as close to it as is comfortable for you) about one foot in front of your feet. Now scoop your hands between your feet as if you are picking up a ball of golden light while sounding, "Soo". Bring the sphere straight up the front of your body by straightening at the waist as you sound "kray.". Let the arms swing out a few inches in front as you reach the waist and when you feel the energy tip, make a circle with your hands and arms starting at the middle of the body, waist height and spreading out and up
in a circle until your hands meet palms together above your head. As you are making this motion, sound, "Sah, Mah Yah." Then turn the palms down toward the ground, middle finger tips touching
as you push the energy back down into the ground sounding "Tay." The hands should stop about at the genitals and then imagine the energy as negative energy or black smoke continuing to travel down the legs and out the bottom of the feet into the earth. Repeat for a total of three times.
